Omalaspis sulcata ( Kieffer, 1901) ‘ species inquirenda’

Tavaresia sulcata Kieffer, 1901: 160

According to Dessart (1969: 198) the type material is deposited in Carpentier collection in the ‘Musée d’Histoire Naturelle d’Amiens ( France)’, but nowadays it is not possible to visit this Institution in order to study the collections (Villemant, pers. com.). The original description does not give enough information to differentiate this species, so we have to considerate this species as ‘ species inquirenda ’ until the type material can be studied. This species was obtained from Triglyphus prinus (Dipt., Syrphidae View in CoL ) on Tetraneura ulmi View in CoL (= Aphis gallarum View in CoL ) on Artemisia vulgaris View in CoL by Carpentier ( Kieffer, 1902: 296).
