Diagnosis. Body length 3.8 mm. Colour in alcohol white. Body shape slender, elongate, Abd VI rounded. Ocelli absent. Ant III and IV fused dorsally. Ant. IV with 12 curving, sensory chaetae. PAO oblong with about 40 peripheral and 8 central vesicles ( Fig. 5 B). Mandible with 3+2 (3) teeth: 3 small apical teeth in an oblique row. Maxillary capitulum with 3 teeth and three lamellae: lam.1 fine and smooth, lam. 2 and 3 serrated, lam.2 longer than capitulum. Ventral tube with 5+5 chaetae. Chaetom plurichaetotic and differentiated: 2+2 dorsal macrochaetae present on head, Abd. IV with 1+1 dorsal macrochaetae in p1 position. Abdominal tergum IV, ‘sensory chaetae’ s = p3.

Type locality. Korea, Youngyeongul (cave) [Yong’yeon-gul Cave].

Material examined. 1 male, 2 females on slides, Yongyeongul (cave) (N37°13´54.1˝ E128°56´24.1˝, 920 m above sea level, 843 m long showing vertical morphology) located in Gumdaebong (peak), Hwajeon-dong , Taebaek-si, Gangwon-do Province, 12-vii-2002, hand collected in dark zone (150m from entrance) of limestone cave by Choi HG leg.

Biology. It appears in the dark zone of vertical limestone cave. The cave atmosphere has a very constant temperature throughout the year: air temperature ranges from 9 to 11°C and humidity ranges from 55 to 70%.

Discussion. The present materials agreed well with the original description by Yosii (1966) based in material from the same cave. This species is considered as a troglobiont.

Distribution. Korea.
