External features: Strand et al. (2010: 122) gave the following summary for the species: ‘Length up to 6 cm, width up to 2 mm. An inconspicuous heteronemertean lacking eyes, furrows and slits. Body stout, circular in cross section, whitish with greyish tinge posteriorly. Anterior end tapering to a pointed nose, posterior end broad and blunt with a caudal cirrus. Mouth visible as an orange dot ventrally.’

Distribution: Swedish west coast, outside Lysekil and in the Kosterfjord (Bergendal, 1902; Strand et al., 2010; Strand & Sundberg, 2011).

Remarks: According to Strand et al. (2010), the specimen sequenced was collected in 2007 from a depth of 30 m on a rough-sandy seabed with a mixture of algal residue and other organic material.
