Type host. Lontra canadensis pacifica (Rhoads, 1898) —North American river otter.

Type locality. 1.6 km NE of Broadbent, Coos Co., Oregon, U.S.A.

Type specimen/s data. Holotype 3 and allotype Ƥ in USNM (Kim et al. 1986: 52; Durden & Adams 2005: 49) and 35 paratypes (23, 4ƤƤ and 29 nymphs) in KCEM.

Other hosts. None.

Geographic distribution. Western North America.

Remarks. Nymphal stages have not yet been described.
