Type locality. Andaman Islands .
Material examined. 10 specimens. INDIA: Karnataka : 1 female, 18 km E Shiradi, Gundia , 12.47N 75.43E, W. [Western] Ghats [Mts.], 200–500 m, 16–21 May 2002; coll. P. Pacholátko. GoogleMaps Kerala: 6 ex., Road Moolamattam – Idukki, near Panavu stream, 600–700 m, coll. P. Mazzoldi ( NMPC, PMCB); GoogleMaps 2 females, 15 km SW Munnar, Kallar valley , 10.02N 76.58E, 1000 m, 6–18 December 1993, coll. D. Boukal & Z. Diagnosis. Medium sized, elongate oval species (body length 3.8–4.0 mm). Elytra with subbasal testaceous band broad, more or less connected with elytral base ( Fig. 4 View Figs ). Apical part of median lobe in lateral view with distinct bulge on dorsal side; apex short, blunt ( Fig. 21 View Figs ).
Distribution. Widespread in southern and eastern India. Vazirani (1969) and Brancucci (1983) published data from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Nagaland, Orissa and West Bengal. We add records from Karnataka and Kerala ( Fig. 41 View Figs ).
