Molecular data. The nearest neighbour to C. berbera is C. anitella Baldizzone, 1985 , with a 2.92 % divergence. The genetic distance between Moroccan and Spanish populations is 0.32 % (n=2).

Distribution. Tunisia, Spain, Morocco. New to Morocco.
