Type species. Pseudosmylidia relicta sp. nov.

Diagnosis. May be easily distinguished from other genera of Protosmylinae by the following combination of forewing character states: few-pectinate CuP (only two branches); some subcostal veinlets shallowly forked. Etymology. From the Greek pseudos, false, and Osmylidia , a genus-group name of Osmylidae .
