Currently Chalinus haugi is restricted to Gabon. FORSIUS (1931: 2, 15) recorded Chalinus haugi from Uganda (Mabira Forest: Chagwe), but this record is a misidentification of Chalinus imperialis (WESTWOOD, 1874) ( VILHELMSEN 2001: 372). VILHELMSEN (2001: 372; 2003: 389) and VILHEMSEN et al. (2017: 894) erroneously assigned this locality to Tanzania. The correct publication date of DU BUYSSON’ s paper "Hyménoptères nouveaux du Congo " is 27.01.1903 (Bulletin du Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle Paris 9 /1: 1).
