Material. Indonesia: SE Sulawesi, nr Sanggona, Mosquito Camp , Gn. Watuwila, Malaise trap, c 1200 m, 1 ♂ 13–17.x.1989, leg. J. Huisman & R. de Jong (Leiden) .
Description. ♂. Body length 13 mm.
Head. Flagellum with 40 flagellomeres, bristle-shaped; 1 st flagellomeres 3.1 × longer than wide. Tyloids on flagellomeres 7–17, long-oval, maximally 0.8 × as long as their flagellomeres. Temple short, strongly and roundly narrowed behind eye. OED 1.0 × and OOD 0.9 × ocellar diameter. Face densely punctate. Clypeus moderately convex, densely punctate; apical margin blunt, slightly rounded. Mandible with two teeth, ventral tooth smaller, not distinctly bent inwards. Malar space 0.5 × as long as width of mandibular base. Genal carina reaching mandibular base.
Mesosoma . Mesopleuron and metapleuron densely punctate, shining; speculum finely punctate; juxtacoxal carina present. Scutellum moderately elevated, slightly longer than wide, punctate, with lateral carina in basal 0.7. Propodeum without apophysis, spiracle slit-shaped (fig. 16A). Area basalis without lateral carina, with strong median tubercle. Area superomedia heart-shaped, 1.3 × wider than long; costula reaching at 8/10 of its length. Hind femur 4.6 × longer than wide.
Metasoma. Postpetiole slightly widened, finely granulate; median field slightly elevated, not separated. 2 nd tergite 1.2 × longer than wide. Gastrocoelus distinctly impressed, with longitudinal ridges. Thyridium oblique, 0.7 × as wide as the interval between thyridia (fig. 16B). 2 nd and 3 rd tergites densely rugose-punctate, dull; 2 nd tergite aciculate medially. Apical margin of hypopygium moderately and roundly elongate medially.
Colour. Black with extensive ivory coloration. Flagellum black; tyloids ivory. Ivory are palps, mandible except teeth, clypeus, face, gena, complete orbits except interruption at vertex, scape ventrally, frontal and upper margins of pronotum, spot of tegula, subtegular ridge, mesosternum and ventral part of mesopleuron, upper division of metapleuron, prescutellar ridge, side of scutellum, postscutellum posterolateral stripe of propodeum, wide apical bands of 1 st to 3 rd tergite, narrow apical band of 6 th tergite, entire 7 th tergite and paramere, 2 nd and 3 rd sternites, apical margin of following sternites. Legs brown; fore and mid coxae and all trochanters and ventral side of hind coxa ivory. Fore and mid femora and tibiae and fore tarsus with ivory stripes frontally. Wings slightly infuscate; pterostigma blackish.
Distribution. Only known from Sulawesi.
