Remarks. The ♂♂ differ slightly from the original description ( Heinrich 1934: 159). Body length 9.5–11.0 mm. Flagellum with 34–37 flagellomeres; 1 st flagellomere 3.6–3.8 × longer than wide. Tyloids on flagellomeres 10/11–18/19, long-oval, maximally 0.7 × as long as their flagellomeres. OED 1.1 × and OOD 1.3 × ocellar diameter. Hind femur 3.9 × longer than wide. Colour as described for the ♀ ( Heinrich 1934: 158), but flagellum black, ochreous ventrally; mesoscutum black in ♂♂ from Sulawesi, but with short yellow paramedian stripes in ♂♂ from Sula islands. Hind coxa red, yellowish dorsally; hind femur red, often slightly infuscate apically; hind tibia red, blackish in basal 0.1 and apical 0.2–0.3; hind tarsus black. Tergites red; postpetiole and 2 nd and 3 rd tergites with yellow apical bands or posterolateral stripes; 7 th tergite yellow; paramere ivory.

Distribution. Only known from Sulawesi, new record for the Moluccas.
