Dissomphalus napo Evans, 1979: 282 (♂, holotype from Ecuador, FSCA, examined).
Diagnosis. This species is known by the following characteristics: median clypeal lobe trapezoidal; tergal process: submedian, with dense tuft of setae inside of shallow depression; genitalia with harpe entirely wide, with apical margin truncate; digitus very long; basivolsella well delimited with wide protuberance, without spines; aedeagal ventral valve with apex aligned with apex of dorsal one, inner margin straight, outer margin straight, parallel; aedeagal dorsal valve narrow, with two pairs of apical lobes; outer lobe short, narrow, with apical margin rounded; apex of inner median filament anterior to apex of lobes; basal cover plate entirely narrow, with posterior margin rounded.
