Geographic distribution. Suriname, French Guyana, Guyana and Brazil (states of Amazonas, Amapá, Pará and Roraima) ( Kensley & Walker 1982; Melo 2003; Pachelle & Tavares 2018; Pimentel & Magalhães 2014; Santos et al. 2018).

Distribution in Amapá state. Streams in gallery forests in savannas; basins of rivers Santo Antônio, Aporema, Curiaú, Matapi, Cupixi, Mutum, Amapari, Anacuí, Anotaié, Jari, Baliza stream (tributary of the Iratapuru River) and Pracuúba Lake.

Ecological notes. Species collected in streams with beds with a lot of leaves and shaded.

Remarks. The specimens analyzed in this study correspond to the descriptions of ( Melo 2003; Pachelle & Tavares 2018; dos Santos et al. 2018).
