Manota whiteleyi Jaschhof and Mostovski, 2006 View in CoL
( Figs 12 View FIGURE 12 A, B)
New record. 1 male, CÔTE-d’IVOIRE, Taï, 5.V.1980, G. Gouturier leg.; Muséum Paris, Bio 7., Sous Forêt primaire, piège lumineux. In MNHN.
Remarks. M. whiteleyi was previously known only from KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The new specimen from Ivory Coast ( Figs 12 View FIGURE 12 A, B) differs in some details in the hypopygium, especially in the apical structures on the dorsal side of the gonocoxa. In the Ivory Coast specimen the apicomesial corner is only slightly produced lobe-like, while in the drawing by Jaschhof and Mostovski (2006) it is a more prominent lobe, and the large apical lobe in my drawing is in a more mesial position than in the drawing by Jaschhof and Mostovski. These differences may only be the result of different meathods of slide-mounting.
