Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. crassitarsa and S. longituba in having similar body size ( Figs 1–6 View Figs 1–6 ), cusps on metatarsus I and tarsus I ( Figs 12, 14 View Figs 11–14 ), anterolateral extension of carapace and pit, tubercle on chelicerae ( Figs 11, 13 View Figs 11–14 ), males of this species have a similar complicated apophysis on the patella in palp and similar location of the embolus on the genital bulb, but can be distinguished from the latter by: 1) basal retrolateral patellar apophysis of male palp proximately as long as cymbium in retrolateral view, longer than that in S. crassitarsa , but shorter than that in S. longituba ( Figs 27, 29–31, 33 View Figs 27–30 View Figs 31–33 ); 2) the much larger and nontransparent dorsal scutum in S. wuyi ( Figs 3, 6 View Figs 1–6 ); 3) patella of male palp with dentigerous apophysis versus absent in S. wuyi ; 4) leg I of S. longituba stonger than that of S. wuyi . Females are similar to S. longituba , but differ in: 1) spermathecae calabash-shaped versus round in S. longituba ( Figs 20–26 View Figs 20–23 View Figs 24–26 ); 2) copulatory ducts folded versus spiral in S. longituba ( Figs 20–26 View Figs 20–23 View Figs 24–26 ).

Description. Female. Described for the first time. Total length 1.85. Cephalothorax 0.85 long, 0.65 wide, 0.70 high. Abdomen 1.00 long, 1.15 wide, 1.28 high. Clypeus 0.18 high. Sternum 0.50 long, 0.38 wide. Thoracic region modified with semiround pits, rugose at posterior margin; cephalic pars distinctly raised, smooth, slightly lower than in male. Abdomen fawn, patch different from that of male, with brown stain, abdominal dorsal scutum absent ( Figs 1, 5 View Figs 1–6 ). AME 0.03, ALE 0.10, PME 0.06, PLE 0.09, ALE> PLE> PME> AME in size, AME–ALE> AME–AME (0.05>0.00), PME–PLE> PME–PME (0.09>0.00). Chelicerae brown, bearing a small proximal tubercle on anterior surface, with one proximal and two adnate promarginal teeth, and a few long plumose setae distally close to fang, with long setae on frontal © Zoological Systematics, 39 (2): 236–247 surface ( Figs 11 View Figs 11–14 , 15–16 View Figs 15–19 ). Labium brown, wider than long, Labral spur large, porrect ( Figs 7–8 View Figs 7–10 ). Legs yellowish-brown, femoral cuticle granulated. Leg measurements: I 2.96 (1.00, 0.25, 0.73, 0.38, 0.60); II 2.31 (0.78, 0.15, 0.55, 0.28, 0.55); III 1.84 (0.58, 0.15, 0.40, 0.28, 0.43); IV 2.21 (0.70, 0.20, 0.53, 0.28, 0.50). Leg formula: I-II-IV-III. Leg I longest and robust, and with four short cusps on ventral metatarsus and tarsus ( Fig 12 View Figs 11–14 ). Ventral scutum modified with tiny stripes ( Fig 5 View Figs 1–6 ), and a pair of retrolateral corners. Book lung covers large, longer than wide ( Figs 19–21, 23–25 View Figs 15–19 View Figs 20–23 View Figs 24–26 ). An annular sclerotized plate closely surrounding the spinnerets ( Fig 2 View Figs 1–6 ). Spermathecae calabash-shaped, strongly sclerotized. Fertilization ducts long and sinuous, arising from the bottom of spermathecae. Copulatory ducts long, twisty, opening at the posterior margin of epigynal area ( Figs 20–26 View Figs 20–23 View Figs 24–26 ).

Male. Total length 2.13. Cephalothorax 1.03 long, 0.75 wide, 1.05 high. Abdomen 1.10 long, 1.03 wide, 1.43 high. Carapace red-brown. Cephalothorax same as in female, but with two setae on midline and two setae behind PLE, with six processes. Clypeus 0.40 high. Gnathochilarium and sternum reddish-brown, sternum 0.63 long, 0.50 wide. Eye pattern same as in female. ALE> PLE> PME> AME in size. AME 0.03, ALE 0.10, PME 0.06, PLE 0.09, AME–ALE> AME–AME (0.05>0.03), PME–PLE> PME–PME (0.09>0.00). General appearance and patterns of chelicerae are same as in female ( Figs 13 View Figs 11–14 , 17–18 View Figs 15–19 ). Labium and leg chaetotaxy are same as in female ( Figs 9, 10 View Figs 7–10 ). Leg measurements: I 3.65 (1.26, 0.33, 0.93, 0.43, 0.70), II 2.38 (0.80, 0.15, 0.70, 0.28, 0.45), III 1.86 (0.53, 0.15, 0.45, 0.28, 0.45), IV 2.19 (0.70, 0.20, 0.58, 0.28, 0.43). Leg formula: I-II-IV-III. Abdomen spherical. Dorsal scutum sub-circular,, cuticle faintly granulate anteriorly, covered with bushy short setae. Ventral scutum small, closely surrounding pedicel ( Figs 3, 6 View Figs 1–6 ). Spinnerets encircled with a sclerotized plate ( Fig 4 View Figs 1–6 ). Male palp relatively large, yellowish-brown. Palpal patella structure complex, with three apophyses, one retrolaterally longest and hook like, two prolaterally shorter ( Figs 27–33 View Figs 27–30 View Figs 31–33 ). Palpal tibia with a few long setae and a bulge, but without apophysis. Cymbium hemispherical, covered with long setae ( Figs 27–33 View Figs 27–30 View Figs 31–33 ). Bulb simple, concave, without apophysis. Tegulum smooth and flat. Embolus long, strongly sclerotized, distally filiform. Conductor absent. ( Fig 28 View Figs 27–30 ).

Distribution. China (Jiangxi, Hunan, Fujian).
