Description of Dokdonella immobilis BO 208

Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, smooth and yellow-colored after 3 days of incubation on R2 A at 25° C. Negative reactions are obtained for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, esculin hydrolysis and β -galactosidase in API 20NE. Does not utilize D- glucose, L- arabinose, D- mannose, D- mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D- maltose, potassium gluconate and capric acid. Strain BO 208 (= NIBRBAC000502393) was isolated from a cultivated soil sample, Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, Korea .
