Description of Pseudomonas coleopterorum BO 247

Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, smooth and pale yellow-colored after 3 days of incubation on R2 A at 25° C. Negative reactions are obtained for cytochrome oxidase, nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, gelatinase and β -galactosidase in API 20NE. Does not utilize N -acetyl-glucosamine, D- maltose, adipic acid and phenylacetic acid. Strain BO 247 (= NIBRBAC000502401) was isolat- ed from a cultivated soil sample, Jeju-si, Jeju-do, Korea .
