Description. Head, antennae, scutellum, and legs (except base of femora) black; pronotum and elytra orangish-yellow with black markings; venter yellowish medially, black laterally, abdominal sterna 4–5 totally black. Head: vertex trisulcate; medial carina present; clypeus punctate, not projecting. Antenna: reaching to humerus; antennomere 1 subglobose, 2x length of 2; 2 transverse; 3–5 cylindrical, 3 slightly longer than 4 or 5; 6–10 transverse, 11 longer than others; 11 acutely pointed at apex. Pronotum: obconic; widest at base; convex; lateral margin bisinuate, slightly angulate in middle; anterior angle with small tooth; posterior angle acute; transverse basal impression present; disc finely, sparsely punctate, with faint medial sulcus; sides strongly, more densely punctate; pronotal length 1.4–1.6 mm (n=13); pronotal width 2.1–2.3 mm. Scutellum: quadrate; alutaceous. Elytron: with 10 rows of punctures, scutellar row absent; lateral margin sparsely dentate on basal ½, then more strongly dentate; exterior apical angle rounded, with two large teeth; apical margin strongly dentate; sutural angle slightly emarginate; humerus angulate, slightly produced; intervals 2, 4, and 8 costate, costa 2 strongly produced basally; interval 6 costate at base and apex; elytral length 8.6–9.0 mm; elytral width 3.3–3.4 mm. Venter: prosternum smooth; meso- and metasterna smooth medially, punctate laterally; abdominal sterna with scattered punctures. Leg: femur and tibia punctate; tibia with row of setae on inner margin and at apex. Total length: 10.9–11.1 mm.

Etymology. From angulus (Latin= corner or angle) for the distinctly angulate lateral margin of the pronotum.

Remarks. This species can be distinguished by the elytra without a scutellar row and having costae 1 and 2 not united near the apex; by the vertex of the head being trisulcate; and by having antennomere 1 subglobose and 2 transverse.

Host plant. Unknown.

Distribution. Argentina and Bolivia.
