Type locality and specimens. Banc d'Arguin, Africa. Holotype, male, 6 mm; paratype, female, 6 mm.
Material examined. No material available for examination. Diagnosis based on description by Chevreux (1920).
Diagnosis. Minute accessory flagellum. Gnathopod 2 carpus with large subdistal tooth; propodus palm with five major tubercles. Pereopods 5–7 bases narrowly expanded. Epimeron 3 posteroventral corner sinuous with simple cusp. Telson apex truncate.
Note. The descriptions of L. spinulosa are vague. Examination of type or topotypic material will help to clarify diagnostic characters.
Female (sexually dimorphic characters). Gnathopod 2 propodus smaller with fewer denticles.
Habitat. Habitat not reported; 235 m.
Host. Unknown.
Distribution. Atlantic Ocean: Banc d'Arguin, Mauritiana, Africa (Chevreux 1920; Chevreux 1927).
