Type locality and specimens. Tropical West Africa , 9°30'N 14– 15°W. Males and females, 4–5 mm GoogleMaps .
Material examined. No material available for examination. Diagnosis based on description by Reid (1951) and Krapp-Schickel & Menioui (2005).
Diagnosis. Gnathopod 1 basis with facial setae. Gnathopod 2 carpus distally truncate; propodus mediofacial setal row displaced to midline. Epimeron 1 with anteroventral tuft of setae. Uropod 3 peduncle elongate. Telson apex with a strong point. Red banding on the body with black eyes.
Female (sexually dimorphic characters). Without red bands on body, pink eyes.
Habitat. Among sand, sponges and corals; 0–30 m.
Host. Unknown.
Distribution. Atlantic Ocean: West Africa ( Reid 1951), Brazil ( Serejo 1998), Morocco ( Krapp-Schickel & Menioui 2005).
