Type locality and specimens. Tinderbox, d'Entrecasteaux Channel , Tasmania. Holotype, male, 3 mm, AM P 36287; paratype, sex unknown, AM P 36288.
Material examined. No material available for examination. Diagnosis based on description by Moore (1987).
Diagnosis. Maxilliped outer plate tuberculate. Gnathopod 1 basis distally expanded; carpus and propodus narrow; dactylus short. Gnathopod 2 basis with setose posterior margin; carpus extremely short; propodus mediofacial setal row thick; dactylus elongate, geniculate. Coxa 3 distal margin serrate. Pereopods 5–7 bases narrowly expanded. Telson apex rounded.
Female (sexually dimorphic characters). Unknown.
Habitat. Among holdfasts of the brown kelp Ecklonia radiata ; 3– 4 m.
Host. Unknown.
Distribution. Pacific Ocean: Tasmania ( Moore 1987; Lowry & Stoddart 2003).
