Type locality and specimens. Isla Verde , Veracruz, Mexico, 19°12.00'N 96°04.04'W. Holotype, male, 7.1 mm, CNCR 25105 ; paratype, female, 4.8 mm, CNCR 25308 . GoogleMaps
Material examined. No material available for examination. Diagnosis based on Winfield et al. (2009).
Diagnosis. Anterodistal head margin quadrate with cusp. Ventral keel anteroventral margin with anteriorly projecting cusp. Coxae 1, 3–4 with serrate distal margins. Gnathopod 2 carpus distally truncate. Pereopods 5–7 bases narrowly expanded. Telson with facial setae.
Female (sexually dimorphic characters). No significant sexually dimorphic character.
Habitat. Coral reefs; 10 m.
Host. Sponge: Aplysinia fistularis .
Distribution. Gulf of Mexico: Veracruz, Mexico (Ortiz, & Chazaro-Olvera 2009).
