Type locality and specimens. Gilbert islands, Tapeteuea Island . Holotype, anamorph male, 3 mm.
Material examined. No material available for examination. Diagnosis based on description by Schellenberg (1938a).
Diagnosis. Gnathopod 2 coxa with sharp anterodistal projection; basis with serrate anteroproximal margin. Pereopod 5 basis quadrate. The original description of this species is vague. Topotypic material needs to be examined.
Leucomorph (juvenile/sexually dimorphic characters). Unknown.
Habitat. Habitat and depth not reported.
Host. Unknown.
Distribution. Pacific Ocean: Gilbert Islands (Schellenberg 1938; Thomas 1997). Red Sea: Sarso ( Ruffo 1969).
