Anatkina zhangi Yang, Meng & Yu View in CoL , sp. nov.
( Figs 19–27 View FIGURES 19 – 27 )
Type material. Holotype, ♂, Mt. Wuliang, Yunnan, 6. June. 2011, collected by Xinfeng Zhang. Paratype, 1♂, Mt. Ailao, Yuxi, Yunnan, 21. July. 2012, collected by Weicheng Yang.
Length: ♂ 10.0–10.5 mm.
Coloration ( Figs 19–21 View FIGURES 19 – 27 ). Body surface and forewing covered with thin blue-white wax powder. Head, thorax and forewing black in dorsal view. Lateral margin of crown with small yellowish-white spot medially. Forewing red in basal half. Face yellowish-white, frontoclypeus with broad longitudinal black band on each side of upper portion. Thoracic sternum black with pale stripes; legs yellowish-white, tibiae of prothoracic legs and all pretarsi black. Abdomen black in ventral view; sternites with posterior and lateral margins pale; pygofer with apex pale.
External features. Head moderately produced, anterior margin broadly round; median length of crown 3/5 of interocular width; crown slightly concave between ocelli, with fovea between ocelli and eye; ocelli located slightly behind imaginary line between anterior eye angles, each equidistant to adjacent anterior eye angle and to median line of crown; lateral frontal sutures extending onto crown and attaining ocelli; frontoclypeus flattened medially, muscle impressions distinct; transclypeal suture complete. Pronotum broader than head; anterior margin rounded; posterior margin with subtriangular concavity medially; disk with inconspicuous transverse concavity anteriorly; scutellum slightly convex behind transverse depression, transverse depression nearly straight; forewing with apical membrane indistinct, base of second apical cell more proximal than base of third; hindleg with femoral setal formula 2:1:1.
Male genitalia. Pygofer ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 19 – 27 ) strongly produced, in lateral view with posterior margin angularly convex; with macrosetae on posterior portion; pygofer process extending posteriorly slightly beyond apical margin of pygofer, apex acute, with long spiniform dorsal process medially and short one subapically, processes with apex acute, apical half including branched processes with dentate margins. Subgenital plates ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 19 – 27 ) small, weakly produced posteriorly, shorter than pygofer, apical two-fifths narrowed and curved dorsad; with uniseriate macrosetae and short microsetae on ventral surface. Aedeagus ( Figs 24, 25 View FIGURES 19 – 27 ) with preatrium curved posteroventrad, articulating with paraphyses; shaft almost straight, extending posteriorly beyond apex of paraphyses. Paraphyses ( Figs 24, 25 View FIGURES 19 – 27 ) with posterior half curved dorsally, apex rounded. Connective ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 19 – 27 ) broadly U-shaped. Style ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 19 – 27 ) almost straight, curved apically, apex acute.
Etymology. The new species is named for the collector of the holotype.
Remarks. The new species is similar to A. polycolora Yang, 2005 , but can be distinguished by the lateral margin of crown with a yellowish-white spot medially, the forewing with the red marking of clavus extending posteriorly farther than that of corium, face yellowish-white with a longitudinal black band on each side of frontoclypeus, and the male pygofer process with two long spiniform processes. In addition, the connective, aedeagus and paraphyses all differ in shape.
