Type species. Nemocapniacarolina Banks View in CoL

Distribution. Known from scattered localities in eastern North America ( Stark & Baumann 2006) and Japan ( Kawai 1967).

Diversity. Nemocapnia currentlyincludestwo species; N. carolina is the only one recognized in North America.
