Description of Croceicoccus marinus IMCC View in CoL 12376
Cells are Gramstainingnegative, nonflagellated, diffusiblepigmented, and rodshaped. Colonies are circular, convex, smooth and yellow colored after 3 days of incubation on MA at 15°C. Strain IMCC12376 positive for nitrate reduction, hydrolysis of esculin, β galactosidase and negative for arginine dihydrolase, urease, Indole production, glucose fermentation and gelatin. Utilizes Dglucose, Larabinose, N acetylglucosamine and malic acid but does not utilize capric acid, adipic acid, phenylacetic acid, Dmannose, Dmannitol, Dmaltose, potassium gluconate and trisodium citrate. Strain IMCC 12376 (= NIBRBA0000114862) has been isolated from sea water, Sokcho, Korea.
