Cerconychia sinensis Yang & Yang, 1995 , Acta Agriculturae Universitatis Pekinensis, 21(2):223.

Male: Forewing length 16.0–17.0 mm, hindwing length 13.5–14.5 mm, body length 10.5–11.5 mm. Abdomen brown. Sternum 9 with a thick patch of oval, horizontal hairbrush medially. First cercal segment swollen basally, terminally becoming slender, blunt and sclerotized, curved outward, with a row of short spines mesally to apex. The second cercal segment possess a dorsal sclerite with a short spine. ( Fig. 6 ).

Female: Forewing length 19.5 mm, hindwing length 17.0 mm, body length 14.5–15.0 mm. Coloration similar to male. Subgenital plate highly reduced, posteriorly with two small lobes ( Fig. 7 ).

Egg: Unknown.

Nymph: Unknown.

Type locality: Hainan Province [Island] of southern China .

Weihuolaoshan , 1300m, 2002-VI-4, leg. Jiang Guo-Fang, Yang Xiu-Juan, Liu Jian-Wen ( ICYZU) ; 1 ♂, Guangxi, Tianlin County, Mt. Weihuolaoshan, Laoshan Forest Farm , the second branch, 1100–1700m, 2002-VI-5, leg. Liu Jian-Wen ( ICYZU) .

Distribution: Guangxi Zhuang Autonomus Region of southern China, Hainan Province [ Island], China).
