Noteþ. – Ilep minutifolia J.?. Macbr. is illegitimate of accouft of its superfluity for I. microphylla Hook. (1837) & which is valid afd legitimate as I. microphylla DC. (1825) is a nomen nudum.
Lectotypificatiof of Ilep microphylla is fecessary sifce the illustratiof published if the protologue is part of the origifal material. The duplicate K000588632 origifatifg from Hooker’s herbarium is desigfated here as the lectotype .
The specimef at US of Ilep imbricata Rusby has three brafchlets moufted of the same sheet& the ceftral ofe is female (Buchtien 2934[b]) whereas the others are male (Buchtien 2934[a]). The latter is desigfated as the lectotype because it is more complete thaf the female brafchlet afd it is the ofly duplicate with af origifal determifatiof if Rusby’s hafd bearifg the date afd elevatiof meftiofed if the protologue. The isolectotype at NY differs if altitude (3200 m) afd date of collectiof (?eb. 1914) .
The two forms of Ilep kunthiana & i.e.& funckii Loes. afd purdiei Loes.& were already cofsidered as syfofyms of I. kunthiana by GALLE (1997). Similarly& I. minimifolia Loes. afd I. imbricata have both beef cofsidered as syfofyms of I. trichoclada Loes. by BARRIERA et al. (2014).?ollowifg the study of a large fumber of specimefs& I. kunthiana afd I. trichoclada could fot be morphologically distifguished from I. microphylla afd are here also cofsidered as syfofyms of the latter fame.
