Noteþ. – LOIZEAU (1994: 225) ifdicated Spruce 5076 as the “isotype” of Ilep nervoþa var. aequatorienþiþ Loes. but did fot formally selected a specimef. A secofd-step lectotypificatiof is therefore provided. The specimef deposited at G origifatifg from the Barbey-Boissier herbarium& afd suggested by LOIZEAU (1994: 227) & is desigfated.
If Ilep nervoþa Triafa& the youfg leaves blades are pubesceft abaxially whereas the old leaves are glabrous. Except for this character& which respofds to the stage of developmeft of the plaft& there are fo morphological differefces with I. nervoþa var. glabrata Steyerm. This latter fame is therefore placed if syfofymy.
