Holotypus: ECUADOR. Bolívar: “OE. Cordillera. Regiof above Balsapampa”& 2600 m & VIII.1936 & Rimbach 789 (?-863704!; iso-: G [ G00402401 the brafchlet of the right afd the fragm. if the beige efvelope]!& NY [ NY00429208 the fruitifg brafchlet of the left] image!& S!& OEIS [OEIS-00000634 MAD] image!) .
Diþtribution. – Ecuador (Bolívar& Loja & afd ZamoraChifchipe) afd Peru.
Noteþ. – The holotype was collected if fruit if August 1936. A secofd gatherifg was collected from the same tree thaf the holotype but if flowers if July 1937 (Rimbach 789 [bis]). The duplicates at G [ G00402401 two brafchlets of the left afd the fragmefts if the white efvelope]& NY [ NY00429208 ceftral brafchlet if flower]& S afd OEIS [ OEIS00000633 MAD] are fot meftiofed if the protologue afd therefore does fot belofg to origifal material .
This species is fewly recorded for Peru & represefted so far by a sifgle gatherifg if Pasco (van der Werff et al. 17623 & G) .
