Stegana (Steganina) planiceps sp. nov.
( Figure 7 View Figure 7 )
Diagnosis
This species is similar to S. cylindrica sp. nov. in the cercus lacking pubescence and the shapes of paramere, can be differentiated from it by having the dorsal projection of gonopods strongly protruded and lacking serrated, minute processes ( Figure 7C, D View Figure 7 ).
Description
Frons nearly dark brown, lacking minute setulae. Fronto-orbital plate brown. Pedicel yellow; first flagellomere mostly brown. Face dark brown on upper two-thirds, yellow on lower margin. Clypeus brownish medially, yellow laterally. Scutum brown to dark brown medially, brownish yellow laterally. Basisternum yellow. Scutellum dark brown. Wing brown anteriorly, yellowish posteriorly, slightly dark on all crossveins. Fore femur with one row of three or four suberect setae on ventral surface. Abdominal tergites black medially, yellow laterally. Sternites yellow, much broadened, wider than length. Male terminalia: surstylus without prensiseta and minute processes on outer surface ( Figure 7A View Figure 7 ). Tenth sternite strongly broadened ( Figure 7B View Figure 7 ). Hypandrium roundly expanded anteromedially ( Figure 7C View Figure 7 ). Aedeagus round distally in ventral view, lacking pubescence medially ( Figure 7C, D View Figure 7 ).
