Distribution. Atlantic-Mediterranean element. In Morocco, the species is widely distributed in the northern part (L’Mohdi 2016). In our study, it was recorded in the Moulouya River basin at Aïn Benimathar and Aklim springs ( Chavanon et al. 2004), considerably increasing records of its distribution (see Fig. 9 ).
