Of the 5 Apocharips species considered valid in Ferrer-Suay et al. (2012a), only 3 are still considered to be valid ( Tables 3 View TABLE 3 and 4): A. angelicae Pujade-Villar & Evenhuis, 2002 , A. hansoni Menke, 1993 , and A. trapezoidea ( Hartig, 1841) ; the other two were synonymized: A. eleaphila ( Silvestri, 1915) and A. peraperta ( Silvestri, 1915) with A. trapezoidea ( Ferrer-Suay et al. 2013a) . Additionally, specimens of Apocharips from Colombia were studied, which resulted in three new species descriptions: Apocharips colombiana Ferrer-Suay & Pujade-Villar, 2013 , Apocharips tamanii Paretas-Martínez & Pujade-Villar, 2013 , and Apocharips tropicale Ferrer-Suay & Paretas-Martínez, 2013 ( Ferrer-Suay et al. 2013a).
