Material examined. 1 female ( FSCB), Russia, Vladivostok, Botanical garden, 22. V.–1. VI.2010, leg. S.A. Shabalin; 1 male ( FSCB), Russia, Primorsky Krai, near Vladivostok, Peschaniy Peninsula , broadleaved forest, 24.IX.2020, leg. L.A. Prozorova.

Distribution. Russia: Far East (Primorsky Krai, southern part of Khabarovsky Krai).

Remarks. Originally described as Placodes terricolor from the environs of Vladivostok ( Attems 1899), later this species was replaced to the new genus Diplomaragna and the subfamily Diplomaragninae Attems, 1907 (see Attems 1907) and was re-described using topotype material ( Shear 1990).

Morphological variability of this species was recently revealed ( Mikhaljova & Sergeev 2021). There are two distinct extreme forms of the gonopods and of the male coxae 11. The differences in the structure of these extreme forms are so strong that their males would even claim the status of independent species. However, the forms are linked by a complete series of transitions between gonopods of the males from different distant districts of Primorsky Krai and Khabarovsky Krai. It is assumed that this morphological variability is associated with different environmental conditions of the habitats of this species.
