Diplomaragna kedrovaja (sic!)— Ganin 1997: 121; 2011: 336.

Material re-examined. 2 males-paratypes ( FSCB) (permanent micropreparation N 2: gonopods of two males and pregonopodal legs of one male; tube: parts of two torsos in alcohol; one of the male-paratypes was transferred to the collection of the FSCB from the ZMUM), Russia, Primorsky Krai, “ Kedrovaya Pad ” Nature Reserve , 23.X.1974, leg. A. Berezantsev ; 1 male ( FSCB), Korea, Prov. Chŏngdžin-si: Musan-rjŏng ca. 60 km N Chŏngdžin, 2. VI.1965, leg. M. Mroczkowski et A. Riedel.

Distribution. Russia: Far East (southern part of Primorsky Krai);? North Korea.

Remarks. This species was originally described from the “ Kedrovaya Pad ” Nature Reserve in the Primorsky Krai, Russia ( Mikhaljova, 1993). Re-examination of the paratypes has revealed that the original description erred in the characteristics of male leg coxae 10 and 11 as usual (i.e. without additional modifications). However, the structure of these coxae is as follows: coxa 10 with a median conical process and a large aperture of the coxal gland; coxa 11 with a ventral cavity and papillate outgrowths, as well as a median conical process supplied with a small aperture of the coxal gland. Thus, the original diagnosis of D. kedrovaya must be supplemented by the new observations of the structure of male leg coxae 10 and 11.

In this way D. kedrovaya seems to be close to D. provecta judged from the structure of the male leg coxae 10 and 11, construction of male leg claws and the common configuration of the gonopod posterior angiocoxal process. However, the first species differs from second one mainly by the shape of the medial notch on the posterior gonopod colpocoxites and the presence of a subapical outgrowth on the posterior angiocoxal process as well as by a somewhat more long and slender apices of colpocoxites.

D. kedrovaya has also been recorded in North Korea ( Mikhaljova et al. 2000). However, it was noted that Korean males differ somewhat from Russian ones in the shape of the posterior angiocoxal process of gonopods. Reexamination of a Korean male transferred to the collection of the FSCB, has revealed this difference. In addition, the male leg coxae 10 and 11, as it turned out, are devoid of the modifications found in ones of D. kedrovaya . According to the structures both the posterior angiocoxal process and male leg coxae 10 and 11, Korean male occupies an intermediate position between D. kedrovaya and D. anuchino . Therefore, it is necessary to study additional material from Korea in order to reliably determine the species identity of this and other material. Thus, most likely, the habitat of this species in North Korea is erroneous.
