Doryopteris lorentzii (Hieron.) Diels View in CoL , in Engler & Prantl, Nat. Pflanzenfam. 1(4): 270. 1899.

Range: —Central Peru and Bolivia ( CH, CO, LP, SC) to central Argentina across Paraguay to southern Brazil and Uruguay. Ecology: —Common; terrestrial in rocky places in dry intermontane valleys; 500–2500 m. Notes: —Blades 2-pinnate-pinnatifid to 3-pinnate-pinnatisect; petioles dark brown to atropurpureous, terete; petiole scales lanceolate; sterile blades adaxially with hydathodes; soral lines broken in the sinuses.
