= Notholaena buchtienii Rosenst., Repert. View in CoL Spec. Nov. Regni Veg. 5: 238. 1908.
Range: — Bolivia (CO, LP, SC, TA) and Argentina.
Ecology: —Fairly common; terrestrial in arid intermontane valleys; 900–2650 m.
Notes: —Differs from the similar and more common C. fraseri by having fewer pale filamentous apices and marginal setae on the rhizome scales, more lanceolate pinnae with the basal segments usually slightly shorter than median segments (vs. pinnae deltate with the basal segments the longest), a few (vs. no) deciduous scales among the abundant hairs on the rachises, and impressed, usually visible (vs. obscure) veins on the segment surfaces adaxially.
