Range: — Colombia, Ecuador, and Bolivia (CO, LP).

Ecology: —Uncommon; in wet forests, shady places; 1250–3150 m.

Notes: —Blades 3-pinnate-pinnatifid; proximal pinnae pedicellate, pedicels 0.5–9 cm long; ultimate segments ca. 6 mm wide; stipes lacking spines, rachises muricate; apices of pinnae strongly pinnatifid, with costae and costules muricate on the abaxial surfaces and with scattered reddish brown hairs and scales; awns present on costae adaxially.
