Small or medium-sized Phaneropterinae . Pronotum without humeral notch on lateral lobes. Tegmina short, atrophied, in male transformed into stridulatory organ. Fore coxae without spine, both tympanal openings on fore tibiae exposed, oval, membranous. Male cerci sometimes serrate apically. Male subgenital plate without styli. (Bei-Bienko 1954).
