A peri-Mediterranean species extending into central Asia, with few Iberian records limited to SW Andalucía ( Redondo et al., 2009; M̡ller et al., 2019; Gaona, 2020; Moreno-Benítez et al., 2020). It flies in the winter, from November to March (M̡ller et al., 2019), which probably accounts for the paucity of records. The current first Portuguese record extends the known distribution circa 200 km westwards.
