This species cannot be differentiated from Ps. cratifer View in CoL based on female specimens alone. Ibáñez-Bernal (2002) studied specimens from El Nigromante (Municipality of Playa Vicente). We collected this species from one other municipality.

Material examined. Mexico: Veracruz, Municipality of Juchique de Ferrer, San Pedro Mezcalapa, 01-08- 1995, troncos, C. Castañeda, 1male.
