Hosts: Agkistrodon piscivorus , ( Reptilia: Serpentes: Viperidae ); Coluber constrictor , Lampropeltis sp. , Pantherophis obsoleta quadrivittata , Pantherophis vulpina (Colubridae) .

Distribution. Nearctic.

Description. Slender worms with specific shape of body: anterior half straight, posterior half spirally curved ("corkscrew-shaped"). Body length 4.24 (2.42–5.02) mm, maximum width 190 (105–228). Anterior end truncate. Six lips in two lateral groups. Papillae small. Oral opening rounded. Buccal capsule 10 (7–10) long and 15 (12–17) wide. Oesophagus club-shaped, 288 (235–309) long (6.9 [5.9–9.7] % of body length). Bulb 64 (52–67) wide. Nerve ring at 140 (111–179) from oesophagus anterior end (48.5 [41.3–58.0] % of oesophagus length). Excretory glands distinct, longer than oesophagus. Vulva at 1.94 (1.22–2.32) mm from anterior end (45.8 (41.8–50.5) % of body length). Tail wide, conical, 149 (99–167) long (3.5 [2.8–4.1] % of body length).

Material studied. 40 specimens from various hosts ( USNPC and SIZK) ; 25 specimens from P. obsoleta (SIZK) were measured.
