Rhabdias rhacophori Yamaguti, 1941 View in CoL

Host: Rhacophorus schlegeli ( Amphibia: Anura : Rhacophoridae ).

Site: lungs.

Distribution: Eastern Palaearctic (Kyoto vicinities, Japan).

Remarks. The species was regarded to be closely related to R. tokyoensis and differentiated from the latter by smaller buccal capsule and shorter oesophagus ( Yamaguti 1941). Unfortunately, the description is fairy brief and based only on one specimen studied. According to the characters mentioned in the description, R. rhacophori is more closely related to R. polypedatis , differing from the latter in the body size and related characters only.
