Host and locality in Australia: Sula bassana and other species of Sula , Australia ( Trouessart 1887; Canestrini & Kramer 1899; Rainbow 1906).

Current name of host: The record of the Northern Gannet, Morus bassanus ( Linnaeus, 1758) in Australia must be an error since this species only occurs in the Holarctic Region. It may refer to some other unidentified species of Gannet (genus Morus ) or Booby (genus Sula ) ( Pelecaniformes : Sulidae ).
