Carassius auratus (Linnaeus, 1758) View in CoL [I]―[LC], Gold fish/Kirmizi havuz baligi/Introduced to many basins of Turkey ( Fricke et al. 2007; Kuru et al. 2014; Çiçek et al. 2015).

Carassius carassius (Linnaeus, 1758) View in CoL [I]―[LC], Prussian carp/Havuz baligi/ Introduced to Thracian part of Turkey ( Kuru 2004; Geldiay & Balik 2007; Fricke et al. 2007; Kuru et al. 2014; Çiçek et al. 2015).

Remarks: Carassius gibelio was previously misidentified in Turkey as C. carassius . Therefore, distribution records in previous studies in Anatolia are wrong. It is probable that this species will be found in Turkey; an introduction from Trace region in Bulgaria and/or Greece may be expected.

Carassius gibelio (Bloch, 1782) View in CoL [I]―[NE], Gibel carp/Çin sazani/Introduced to nearly all basins of Turkey ( Kuru 2004, Fricke et al. 2007). May be conspecific with Carassius auratus View in CoL ( Kuru 2004; Geldiay & Balik 2007; Kuru et al. 2014; Çiçek et al. 2015).

Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus, 1758 View in CoL [N]―[VU], Common carp/ Sazan baligi/Widespread all basins of Turkey ( Kuru 2004; Geldiay & Balik 2007; Fricke et al. 2007; Kuru et al. 2014; Çiçek et al. 2015).
