Bembidion (Testedium) quadrifossulatum quadrifossulatum Schaum, 1862 View in CoL
Material Examined. I have studied material from Konya province, Turkey (Avgın and Nodmar 2009) and Italy (Sardegna).
Distribution in Turkey. This species is known from Anatolia (no specific locality) (Casale and Vigna Taglianti 1999) and Konya province (Avgın and Nodmar 2009).
World Distribution. Europe: Greece, Italy; Asia: Turkey ( Marggi et al. 2003). This range exemplifies an East-Mediterranean chorotype.
The distributions of three Turkish species of Testedium representing three chorotype patterns is evidence that Turkey represents a crossroad of faunas from the west, east, and south. With the new record of B. capito in the Amanos Mountains in south-central Turkey, four species of the Bembidion subgenus Testedium are now known from Turkey.
