In Kessler & Smith (2018c), we included a species under the name Diplazium praestans (Copel.) Maxon ex C.V.Morton in the family Athyriaceae as one of two species of Diplazium with undivided leaves. More recently, molecular and morphological data have shown that this species in fact belongs in the family Aspleniaceae , where it is nested within Hymenasplenium ( Riibe et al. 2021) . This is the only species of Hymenasplenium with undivided leaves and increases the number of Hymenasplenium species known from Bolivia to six ( Kessler & Smith 2018b).
