As described for Robustagramma altifrons except as follows.

Body length 1.2–1.6 mm. General color yellowish to dark brown. Scutum without dorsal vittae. Face, antenna and lower frons reddish yellow to reddish brown; gena reddish brown. Frontal vitta between interfrontal plates indistinctly protuberant gradually from posterior to anterior. Interfrontal bristles in 3 or 4 pairs in addition to small interfrontal setuae. Postvertical bristles slightly shorter than occipital bristles, convergent. Eye height ca. 1.5 times genal height. Vibrissae and all genal bristles yellow or reddish. Arista slightly longer than head height. Distal half of palpus cylindrical. Preapical palpal bristles conspicuously reduced, distinctly shorter than maximum palpal width.

Acrostichal setulae in 4–6 irregular rows between anterior dorsocentral bristles. Wing almost clear. Length of second costal sectors ca. 0.48–0.55X length of third. R straight. Mid femur of male with a row of 4 ventral proximal bristles.

Male terminalia: Sternite 5 with 3 pairs of short, stout bristles on borderline between dark and pale areas. Apex of surstylus rounded in lateral view; cercus slightly shorter than surstylus, sharply curved backward near apices.

Female terminalia: Tergite 10 with only one small bristle (only one female specimen examined); cercus relatively long. Sternite 8 reduced to 2 long sclerites.

Holotype (♂, DEBU) paratype (1 ♂, DEBU): UNITED STATES: Arizona. Pima Co., Santa Catalina Mts, Mount Lemmon Hwy. , 4900', dung trap, (no date), A. Newton.

Other paratypes: UNITED STATES: Arizona. Cochise Co., Huachuca Mts , 5600', Sunnyside Canyon , oak, dung, 13–19.ix.1970, A. Newton (1 ♂, DEBU). Cochise Co. , Chiracahua Mts , dung, 15–21.viii.1978, O. Kukal (1 ♀, DEBU) .

Etymology: The specific epithet refers to the small preapical palpal bristles of Robustagramma minutiseta Cui and Marshall , new species
