Remarks: Compagno & Ebert (2007) raised the issue that C. triangularis is actually C. parcomaculata and that the Eastern and Western Cape Cruriraja was an undescribed species. Aschilman et al. (2010) reviewed the issue and described a new species, C. hulleyi , from the Eastern and Western Cape.
Conservation status: LC (2019).
