( Figures 11–15 View FIGURES 11–15 )

Lasioseius (Episeius) glaber var. curtipes Halbert, 1923: 370 .

Sejus curtipes .— Evans & Hyatt, 1960: 59; Athias-Henriot, 1961: 448; Ishikawa, 1969: 128; Karg, 1971: 256.

Cheiroseius curtipes .— Bregetova, 1977: 195; Chelebiev, 1988a: 9; Chelebiev, 1988b: 71; Farrier & Hennessey, 1993: 31; Christian & Karg, 2006: 238; Kazemi & Rajaei 2013: 114; Moraes et al., 2016: 141 View Cited Treatment .

Cheiroseius (Posttrematus) curtipes .— Karg, 1981: 59; 1993: 258; Kaluz & Fenďa, 2005: 51.

Specimens examined. Five females, Kostanay Region, Kazakhstan, 53°15ʹN, 66°29ʹE, 5 October 2019, A.K. Is-sakova coll., from soil (in TSUMZ) GoogleMaps .

Remarks. Cheiroseius curtipes was originally described from wet moss on Lambay Island, Dublin, Ireland ( Halbert, 1923). This species has been recorded form nest of the narrow-headed vole (Animalia: Rodentia) from Ka-zakhstan ( Chelebiev, 1988a, b). Our newly collected specimens from soil agree very well with the description given by Evans & Hyatt (1960) for Sejus curtipes and Kaluz & Fenďa (2005) for Cheiroseius (Posttrematus) curtipes . This species can be readily recognised by the leg I distinctly shorter than the idiosoma ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 11–15 ), claws on tarsus I smaller than claws on legs II–IV ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 11–15 ), ventrianal shield bearing four pairs of setae ( Figs 11 & 13 View FIGURES 11–15 ), lateral margins slightly concave in caudal part ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 11–15 ), sternal shield without a M-shaped pattern ( Figs 13 & 15 View FIGURES 11–15 ) and epistome three-pronged ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 11–15 ).
