Igerna shillongensis Meshram View in CoL
Figs 5A–H View FIGURES 5
Diagnosis. Externally resembling I. priyankae , male pygofer and its processes are very similar, but differ in the structure of the aedeagus. In lateral view the aedeagus in I. shillongensis is very broad proximally with longer preatrium and shorter dorsal apodeme compared to that in I. priyankae and has a short process (either blunt or pointed) arising from dorsal apodeme at base of shaft which is not found in I. priyankae .
Material examined. INDIA: Manipur: 1♂, Senapati, Sijong Monjong , 28.ix.2014, Yeshwanth, H.M. ( UASB) .
Remarks. Meshram et al. (2015) adequately described and illustrated the species. Here it is illustrated to show some variation. In the specimen collected from Manipur, the aedeagus has the process on the dorsal apodeme distally pointed compared to the blunt process in the type specimen and also there is an indication of presence of a small protuberance on the ventral margin of the preatrium that is absent in the type specimen.
